Dear Campout Community,
We want to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thank you to everyone who registered and took part in this year’s Big Canopy Campout, the world’s largest aerial, coordinated campout event uniting people across the globe in defence of our planet’s native, old growth forests.
This year, we were humbled and inspired to witness 38 campouts across 18 countries, with over 400 passionate people coming together in the canopy, standing (and hanging) in solidarity. Together, you formed a global forest of voices and action, a powerful symbol of unity and resistance in the face of deforestation and environmental degradation.
The Big Canopy Campout isn’t just about being in the trees: it’s about connection:
Connecting with nature,
Connecting with one another, and
Fuelling the global movement to protect what remains wild and sacred.
One of the most beautiful parts of this event is that it transcends borders and barriers. It allows people from every corner of the globe to share their local forested places without the obstacles of cost or travel. It’s a moment where we collectively raise our voices and show our appreciation for the forests and for the people working tirelessly to protect them. Knowing that others are out there, doing the same, gives us strength and renewed determination.
We are proud of what this movement represents, and deeply grateful that you are a part of it. All registered campouts will have received their certificates via email this week.
