The climber grips the slimline Knot Slider and uses it to press on their hitch, reducing friction and heat from the climber’s fingers. Additionally gloves will not spoil so quickly. The ZilpZalp Knot Sliders are made of Elm or Oak wood and treated with linseed oil and beeswax.
- 53mm height and 34mm diameter at base in line with hitch cord width around rope,
- 16mm internal diameter rope tunnel - Suitable for ropes up to 13mm.*Please note these cannot be attached midline or threaded over a spliced eye*A Retrieval Ball is used to remove a cambium saver from the tree at the end of a climb. As the rope is pulled out of the cambium or friction saver, the Ball catches in the Saver after the rope has released it, allowing it to fall to the ground with the rope.*Different cambium savers sometimes need different-sized Balls. These are compatible with both Teufelberger Fimble- and Pulleysavers. Please check size for other manufacturers*About "ZilpZalp":Sebastian, alias "Pepe", has been an arborist for 5 years and has always had an interest in working with wood. He has collected off-cut timber from tree work and made them into various wooden items in his free time. Two years ago, he hand-carved his first Knot Slider and continued to make them for friends and colleagues, modifying them for best fit and function. Since then Pepe has invested in a wood lathe and create "ZilpZalp" to perfect the craft and experiment with new ideas. In support of BCC, Pepe has made these Knot Sliders to raise funds for the protection of forests.
