'Recycled materials are retold stories'
Offir, Founder of Flyrooster
These belts come with a story!
Here we have the very first arborist ropes to be given a new life and turned into belts by Flyrooster fashion with the help of several key people around the world.
Offir, founder of Flyrooster began his company in Israel after observing so much sporting material gets 'thrown in the trash'. He believes that 'materials have souls. They bear the marks of time and scars of journeys they have undertaken and the handprints and stories of all the people who have had the privilege to use them, “they have seen a world.”
Turning those materials into a new product retains their stories which can now continue to be told. Not just that, but now they are writing a new chapter in their lifecycle, handed over to a new person to travel and experience them as a belt, accessory, pouch, or traveler bag.'
It took a chance encounter with BCC founder Vicki Tough and arborist Dror Lazarvitch from Israel to orchestrate the donation of retired ropes, pick up and deliver across borders between international conferences for these belts to now be available on our store!!
Thank you Dror for the donation of your ropes, time and efforts in supporting this project!

About Flyrooster
A keen climber and environmental advocate, Offir the founder of Flyrooster fashion creates sustainable, upcycled, cutting-edge fashion and accessories.
'It all started when I began producing handmade, recycled, and ecologically sound, vegan products from raw materials that I came across while traveling, such as sail fabrics, parachutes, climbing ropes, sunshades and various upholstery fabrics. Over time it became a passion, and with innumerable combinations, possibilities and new challenges, Flyrooster was born.'
