BCC 2022 Photo & Short Video Competition!

 

We are blown away with the standard of creativity and originality of photos and content sent to us each year.
This year we’d like to offer the chance to win prizes for your efforts! See below for details on the different categories and how to enter for the chance to win BCC Products!

Photo Competition

There are three different categories and three different prizes!

  1. Creative Nature
    This is where your creativity will shine. Using nature as your focal point, capture the beauty of your surroundings with no human interference (tents, pots & pans, dirty pants....)
  2. Reality Check
    (Submit up to 3 Comparison Photos to tell the story!) This is our take on ‘Influencers in the Wild’ where we want to see your most finely edited and beautified social media shot next to the harsh reality of camping - think twigs up your nose, burnt food and soggy socks, we want to see the hilarious truth of what it's like to sleep on the ground or in the trees and how a different camera angle can tell a different story!
  3. Best Canopy Selfie
    Very little rules here, go crazy with the camera! We want photos that give off the amazing energy of Big Canopy Campout. Every year we get big goofy grins by all your mad beautiful faces and we want to see more of them!!

Video Competition - Leave No Trace


The Siekopai look at the forest and its inhabitants as equal living beings to be respected. For decades people have only taken from their forests, oil, wood, animals, plants, knowledge. They are now fighting to restore this balance.

We are looking for short videos 30 seconds max showing the before, during and after spaces of your campout highlighting how we can live amongst these spaces without causing harm or long lasting damage. We are looking for positive actions interacting with trees, campsites and nature.

We will always have an impact wherever we step but show us how we can act responsibility when sharing these spaces.

Timelapse’s, stitched short clips, weather changes, set-up, de-rig, hammock/tent setup. Show us the key moments throughout the weekend.

You don't need to be an expert at videography and editing, just have fun and leave no trace behind!

Submit your entries in JPEG, PNG, MP4 form to:

Please put the title name of the category i.e. Best Canopy Selfie in the subject line of the email and your campout name/number and country in the email itself.

Rules

  • You must be part of a registered campout event in 2022
  • Your entry content must be from your 2022 campout (these can be different dates to the main event on the 17th-18th Sept)
  • You may submit up to 2 entries per category
  • Deadline is Friday 23 September 13:00 GMT
  • Content displaying any racist, homophobic, anti-LGBTQ+, sexist or disrespectful behaviour will not be considered.
  • Climbers to display only safe working practices
  • Ensure all permits and permissions for filming, photography and camping are obtained where required.

*Prizes will be announced closer the event!
